Cambodia 2016

A trip abroad with your friends without your parents is a pretty big thing for me since my parents don't usually agree with long trips. But this trip was a shock to me since they said yes when I asked for permission to join in an out of the country trip- of course, it made me EXCITED! Anyways, enough of me. Here's a short video to summarize my trip in Cambodia.

We didn't land on Cambodia, but in Ho Chi Minh. We met our friend there and rode a bus to Siem Reap. It took us 12 LONG HOURS and a lot of stopovers to get there, but hey, it's worth the wait. Siem Reap has lots of breathtaking places to visit, but with insufficient time we ended up only visiting the temples and Kompong Pluk which were definitely worth it.

Tips:
  • Always haggle with the tuktuk and the souvenir vendors(every dollar that leaves our hands should be well spent)
  • Catch the sunrise at the Angkor Wat temple
  • Tours are comparably cheaper than exploring by yourself, but it has a certain time that you should abide by
  • Lastly, have fun and always try something new
